A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company that provides that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.

We retain an email or contact submission as needed to read and answer it. The message is not shared beyond our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

No database of personal criminal records is compiled, maintained, or sold here. The content explains how to reach the Roscommon County Sheriff, the 82nd District and 34th Circuit Courts, the Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center, and the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not turned into a third-party record or consumer report. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Outside companies supply the search boxes. Their own privacy policies govern any query submitted to them, including retention and sharing choices that we do not control. Read the applicable provider policy before using its tool.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Roscommon County offices, Michigan agencies, courts, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, that destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising companies may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and tailor ads. We do not operate that tracking.

Michigan's Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 et seq., governs requests to covered public bodies, not data held by this private site. Public criminal-history dissemination through ICHAT is addressed by MCL 28.242a. Rights may also depend on where a visitor lives. Visitors may still ask to:

- Request deletion of personal data we hold
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Receive a copy of personal data on file
